New Masking Policy Begins December 1
|
Starting December 1, Yale Health will implement an updated masking policy designed to keep our community safe while supporting a welcoming environment for care.
What’s changing?
|
- Healthcare workers will be required to wear a mask in clinical areas where respiratory infections can easily spread, such as exam rooms and treatment areas.
- Anyone experiencing respiratory symptoms is required to wear a mask throughout Yale Health Center.
- In common areas, masking will be optional, though we encourage anyone who feels more comfortable wearing a mask to do so.
|
Why the change?
This policy reflects current public health guidance and our commitment to balancing safety with flexibility. It also allows us to respond quickly if conditions change.
What does this mean for you?
When you visit Yale Health, if you need a mask, they will be available at our main entrance and check-in desks.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and respectful environment for all members and your caregivers. Together, we can protect each other from respiratory illnesses.
