DISSC has renewed Yale’s agreement with the The Bright Initiative which provides researchers with ethical data collection tools to gather public web data. The Bright Initiative provides a centralized source for scraped public web data along with the ability for custom scraping. The new arrangement requires alignment with Bright’s guidelines and a very short proposal; DISSC can help researchers with the service.
We've also recently completed the licensing for Verisk Total Consumer History data, which contains a historical information for US consumers. Please note - there may be a nominal charge for researchers in certain departments to defray costs.
DISSC has worked with ITS to review Survey CTO for use with high-risk data and is now the service owner for this platform. It allows the collection of survey data using mobile phones, tablets, or computers—even when working outside the US in areas without internet connectivity. Please reach out if you could use this product for your work.
