NEW AND UPCOMING
March 2026: AI at Yale: Clarity features and Consensus
  • In Clarity AI, new health chatbots are available for Protected Health Information Use for approved Health Sciences workflows with required human review. Anyone in the covered entity at Yale, now by default has access. In addition, you can now request access to custom agents, API, and Portkey portal for Clarity AI. A new AI Review framework is available for guidance and how to evaluate new uses of AI technology at Yale.
  • Consensus AI is an AI-powered search engine for peer-reviewed literature and evidence-based research available for Yale for one-year trial. Register with a yale.edu or ynhh.org email for full access. Faculty, staff, and students can access Consensus through AI.yale.edu website. Review the Consensus AI overview and best practices. Please leave Consensus AI trial feedback via this form.
April 2026: Service Request Systems: Facilities
  • The Yale School of Medicine (YSM) Finance and Administration centralized ticketing system in Salesforce will launch the first unit: facilities. For questions, contact HSIT-ApplicationServices@yale.edu.
June 15-18, 2026: Survey Tools: Qualtrics
  • Qualtrics vendor support team will migrate the YaleSurvey instance of Qualtrics to a new data center to comply with data privacy laws and regulations. During that time, surveys will continue to collect responses, but logins and key actions will be unavailable, and some triggered emails/integrations may be delayed. Adding SSO login to surveys is recommended before migration. You can subscribe to updates about this planned change.
June 30, 2026: Report Tools: Brio
  • Brio will be retired as a reporting tool. The decommissioned Brio User Group (BUG) Reports will be archived for one year following retirement. The BUG Library site identifies which Brio reports will be migrated to Power BI and which will be retired.
June 2026: Finance Workflows: BatchMaker
  • BatchMaker, a custom application to transfer bulk financial transactions to Workday, will be migrated from FileMaker to a new user interface in OutSystems. For questions, contact HSIT-ApplicationServices@yale.edu.
June - July 2026: Learning Management Systems: Elentra
  • The School of Medicine will be expanding the Elentra learning management system to the pre-clerkship phase of the MD and Physician Associate programs. This replaces BlueDogs and Medtrics. This phased implementation involves 2,291 individuals, including students, faculty coaches, clerkship directors, coordinators, and staff. Elentra has been in use for the clerkship phase of the MD program since January 2026. For customer support, use the Elentra Help Center. For other questions, contact YSM Educational Technology & Innovation team for details at Innovate.MedEd@yale.edu.
June - July 2026: Training Grants Systems: ITG Hub
  • The Institutional Training Grants Hub (ITG Hub), used to manage T32 grants for multiple programs, will be migrated from FileMaker to a new user interface in OutSystems. For questions, contact HSIT-ApplicationServices@yale.edu.
July 2026: Service Request Systems: YCCI
  • The Salesforce application for Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI) service requests will be introducing new features to the billing workflow. Updates include simplifying invoice approval processes, automating recurring charges, managing billing credits, enforcing conditional invoicing rules, and implementing robust tracking and dispute resolution workflows. For questions, contact HSIT-ApplicationServices@yale.edu.
August 30, 2026: Design Tools: Adobe Acrobat/Creative Suite Auto-Renewal
  • The Adobe Acrobat/Creative Suite licenses expire at the same time of year for all users, regardless of when they signed up. All existing Adobe Acrobat/Creative Suite user licenses will be automatically renewed unless users opt-out or leave the university. Within YSM, HSIT will coordinate with integrated business office directors for faculty and staff renewal. HSIT will work with YSM education program leadership for the MD, PA, and MD/PhD license renewal. For FY27, YSM departments will fully own costs, with HSIT subsidy ending. New individual subscribers can purchase the software in the software library – with a COA for faculty and staff and a personal credit card for students.
FY27 TBD: Local Computer Admin Rights
  • Soon it will be easier to request admin access to Yale-managed devices when you need to install software. Instead of a call to the help desk, ITS is introducing BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Management to allow temporary “just-in-time" elevation for administrative tasks. HSIT staff are currently piloting this feature. Software from the Company Portal can always be installed without admin rights.
June 2027: Student Funding: GSF Migration
  • The Graduate Student Funding App will be migrated to OutSystems.
