The HSIT xChange series is a new hybrid forum that launches Mar. 6, 2026 at noon in the Anlyan Center (TAC) Auditorium and via Zoom. The first session will include updates on improvements to IT customer service, demo of new chat tools, recent changes to the website and service portal, and more. 

Why Attend: Learn about recent changes, share feedback, ask questions, and suggest future topics.

CYBERSECURITY
Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is a personal safety and security matter. Learn tips on keeping oneself, family members, and work-related activities safe from identity theft, cyberbullying, and scams. Using a secure device that meets Yale Minimum Security Standards (MSS) is important to protect Yale information (HIPAA, proprietary information, research work, etc.) when working remotely or off-site.

SOFTWARE SUPPORT
BOX at Yale
Yale will retire from the Box at Yale service in March 2026. Files in Box will be automatically moved to Yale Microsoft 365, school-by-school. YSPH and YSN have already migrated files, and YH is currently in the process of migration. YSM migration began Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. EST and completed Feb. 23. Going forward, HSIT recommends reviewing and migrating data to free, Yale-supported Microsoft 365 tools such as OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint.

AI
Health Sciences Guidance

Yale has released standards for using AI tools and chatbots in health sciences. The information provided applies specifically to Yale School of Medicine (YSM), Yale School of Public Health (YSPH), Yale School of Nursing (YSN), and Yale Health.  

The guidance aims to inform health sciences professionals about responsibly adopting and implementing AI technologies in healthcare, placing a strong emphasis on ethical considerations, patient safety, and effective tool selection.

Clarity AI New Features

Yale releases new features in Clarity AI every few months. The latest release includes noteworthy improvements for end users:  

  • Upload up to ten files at once to any of the models. 
  • With parity to use model-agnostic agents (currently six available) to get the best model per task with consistent behavior. 
  • Interpret code easier, with better data previews, guided output, and clearer errors. 
  •  Improved visibility into tool execution and code.

Enhancing Support

Expanded help desk and desktop support options: Callback scheduling, in-person support centers, and voicemail-to-ticket creation reduce wait times. 

Enhanced self-service: Broader virtual chat (login required) and AI-assisted search enable faster issue resolution. 

Faster call handling: Automated NetID capture at call start improves triage, routing, and handle time. 

Improved customer experience: More channels and smarter tools make support easier, quicker, and more efficient. 

CHANGE MANAGEMENT TRAINING
University-Wide Community of Practice for Change Management 

The Organizational Change Management Community of Practice (OCM CoP) brings together change agents to build connections and strengthen the change management discipline across Yale. The kickoff meeting was held on Feb. 25, launching this collaborative group to enhance the university’s collective ability to navigate change successfully. Through open dialogue and shared learning, the OCM CoP aims to strengthen alignment with strategic goals, build capacity for effective change management, and exchange proven practices and success stories. New Training in Workday

Yale Medicine Training & Development team offers in-person and virtual learning for managers and staff across YSM. Available in Workday Learning, YSM members can sign for five classes: Introduction to ADKAR, Introduction to Change Management, Introduction to Leading Change, Thriving Through Change, and Change Reinforcement Workshop.
