Festschrift honors Teresa Berger as she retires

At the final colloquium in May, Melanie Ross honored Teresa Berger with a festschrift. Colleagues joined in-person and via Zoom to celebrate her work. Professor Berger retired on June 30. Read more.

Yale Camerata to celebrate 40th anniversary with three concerts

Yale Camerata, the ISM’s much-loved choir that spans the Yale and New Haven communities, will celebrate its fortieth anniversary in the 2025-2026 academic year with a series of special events. These include an alumni concert on Sunday, October 12 led by all three of Camerata’s conductors—founder Maggie Brooks, Andre Thomas, and current director, Felicia Barber. There will also be an advent concert on December 6 and "An American Songbook" spring concert on April 12. Read more and mark your calendars!

Remembering a founding member of the ISM

We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mina Belle Packer Wichmann on May 23. Mina Belle was one of the founding members of the ISM in 1973, as well as its assistant director. Read more.
