Individuals can opt-in to SMS reminders.
ENTERPRISE PROVIDER SCHEDULING PROJECT NEARS COMPLETION: The YSM Enterprise Provider Scheduling (QGenda) team, tasked with creating a single source for provider scheduling for physicians across Yale and YNHHS, has announced they are onboarding their final groups of House Staff at Yale Medicine. This significant milestone is planned to be completed ahead of the academic transition in June 2025. Since work kicked off in 2021, approximately 5,500 physicians have already transitioned to the cloud-based scheduling platform.
ENTERPRISE ANALYTICS DELIVERS FIRST ITERATION OF SPACE DASHBOARD FOR TESTING: The Enterprise Analytics team delivered the first iteration of the Space Dashboard to the School of Medicine for user acceptance testing, with plans for a full release in January. This dashboard replaces legacy data sources and manual processes with the Assetworks datamart to help the Financial Planning and Analysis team better manage space utilization. It provides insights into how space is being used, who is using it, the type of work being done, available space, and how effectively Principal Investigators are utilizing their spaces. The new tool will support more efficient resource allocation and space management across the school.
GIVING BACK: JUDAH'S INSPIRING INTERNSHIP JOURNEY: Judah LaRose, an intern with Health Sciences IT, recently shared a powerful story of how he used his internship experience to make a meaningful difference for others in need.
Facing the challenges of caring for his brother, who has severe health issues, Judah was determined to focus on what he could change. One pressing concern was securing adult diapers for his brother after he turned 18 and faced hurdles with insurance. Instead of letting the frustration overwhelm him, Judah took action. He used his internship paycheck to purchase over 1,300 packages of adult diapers—essential supplies for his brother and other families in similar situations.
Judah’s decision to help came from the values instilled in him by his mother, rabbi, and counselor. "This internship has taught me more than just technical skills. It’s shown me the importance of using what I have to help others," he shared.
Judah's story is a testament to the power of perspective and community. By channeling his personal challenges into action, he’s made a lasting impact on his family and others in need in the New Haven area. At Health Sciences IT, we’re proud to have interns like Judah, who remind us that true success is about making a difference in the world, no matter how big or small.
