Project Alignment Improved via New Project Management Meeting with YNHHS: The YNHHS Digital and Technology Solutions (DTS), Yale University Operations Project Management Office (OPMO), and Health Sciences IT teams recently gathered for a meet and greet. During the meeting, the teams presented high-level overviews of their organizations and current projects. Jessica Kunstman, IT Director, presented an overview of Change Management, while Frank Mathew, Assistant Vice President and Deputy Chief Information Officer, discussed the GenAI Platform Features. The groups plan to continue meeting for knowledge transfers on various topics including AI, Change Management, and the OPMO Gating process, among others.Yale School of Public Health Issues its Year in Review: As Dean Ranney looks back at academic year 2023-24, the school looks towards the future as they embark on their first year a fully independent entity after more than 108 years.
Nursing Students Gain Clinical Experiences through Disaster Simulation: The Yale School of Nursing hosted its annual disaster simulation in late June, which included volunteer actors from Health Sciences IT. Experiences are often designed to practice technical skills however diagnosis, patient interaction, and performance across the breadth of the simulated clinical environment is also assessed.
AV Redesign Project Completed at Yale Health: Since late 2023, Health Sciences IT and Yale Health have been working to upgrade the audio/visual systems in all the conference rooms at the Yale Health Center. The project has is now wrapped with the completion of the Mental Health & Counseling Department and Moreson H. Kaplan Conference Rooms.
Andres Rua is Promoted to IT Manager - Application Development: In this leadership role, he manages a talented team of two developers, a project manager, and project contracted resources. Together, they tackle various projects and ensure the smooth operation of custom applications vital to Yale’s operations. Andres’s team is at the forefront of developing and maintaining custom applications across multiple platforms, including FileMaker, OutSystems, Power BI, and Salesforce. Their work involves integrating these applications with both internal Yale systems and vendor-hosted cloud services, ensuring seamless functionality and efficiency for the university’s diverse needs.
Welcome to Jeff Mozealous, IT Manager - Technology Support Services: Jeff brings 13 years of healthcare IT experience with him, most notably from Hartford HealthCare where he started as an IT Support Specialist and moved up through the ranks as IT Project Manager, Manager of IT Service Delivery, and System Director. He managed approximately 90 staff across multiple IT departments serving 34,000 colleagues and 30,000 endpoints across: IT Service Management, DevOps, Field Services, IT Service Desk, Asset Management, Access Provisioning, Audio/Visual, and Collaborative Services.
