4,600 INCOMING STUDENTS GAINED ACCESS TO HEALTH ON TRACK
Health On Track, Yale’s system for uploading and tracking health requirements, launched for incoming students in late June and will be available to 11,000 continuing students in mid-July. Proposed to the Provost in May 2022 Health Sciences IT, in partnership with Yale Health and others, spent over two years to bring the vision to fruition. Health On Track is part of Yale Campus Health, which aims to empower a healthy, resilient community.
YALE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE INCREASE ACCESS TO EDUCATION DATA
In an effort to simplify data-informed decision making, identify areas for improvement, and effectively benchmark its performance against national standards, the Yale School of Medicine internally launched a medical education report series produced by Health Sciences IT. This data provides key education insights to enable continuous quality improvement and benchmarking in an easy-to-use, dynamic format that can now be leveraged by education leadership.
HEALTH SCIENCES IT SHARES FISCAL YEAR 2024 BALANCED SCORECARD RESULTS
The work of Health Sciences IT is guided by our Vision, Mission, Values and three-year strategy for Fiscal Years 2023-2025. In alignment with the close of the fiscal year, Health Sciences IT reflected on its strategic actions and the benefits they yielded customer, which can be reviewed in the FY24 Balanced Scorecard Review.
New Yale Status Board Offers a Swifter Way to Disseminate Vital Messages: Yale Operations launched the Yale Status Board, a platform for staying informed about critical events, outages, and service interruptions on campus. This centralized, web-based hub consolidates information from various systems and sites, enhancing our collective awareness and enabling the swift dissemination of vital messages. The Yale community is encouraged to subscribe to emails and text messages for specific buildings or units.Fostering Connection at the IT Community Picnic: On June 6, over 360 IT staff—in central and distributed roles, like Health Sciences IT—gathered at Lighthouse Point Park to enjoy networking, lawn games, refreshments, and more. Now in its second year, the picnic remains a cherished event, fostering connection and enjoyment across the IT community.Medical Education Day at Yale Featured Dr. Alison Whelan, AAMC, Chief Academic Officer: This June, the Center for Medical Education hosted its 12th annual Medical Education Day, a conference open to everyone from the School of Medicine, including the Physician Associate Program and the Physician Assistant Online Program, as well as member of the School of Nursing and the School of Public Health. This was the first time we are in person since 2019.
Dr. Sohrab Syed Join Health Sciences IT New Principal Data Architect: The Enterprise Analytics team welcome Dr. Syed who brings over 18 years of extensive and diverse experience in all phases of software development life cycle including planning, designing, developing, implementing, training and managing big data technologies, data warehouses, dimension modeling, and data science. He will be working to translate the EA vision into practical design, methods, guidelines, and standard operating procedures of shared enterprise master data and business intelligence infrastructure.
Salesforce Hall of Fame Inductee Maria Belli Named IT Associate Director for Campus Health Systems: Maria joins Health Sciences IT after serving as a trusted advisor to the business unit throughout her five years with Yale Information Technology Services Salesforce Platform Services and Development. She will lead the IT team, software architecture and development, and stakeholder engagement, to build out the systems for Campus Health team visions for routine health requirements, employee health, campus well-being initiatives, and public health monitoring and messaging.
